Rubber price volatility in Malaysia is driven by a complex interplay of market and environmental factors. This research evaluates the influence of changes in crude oil prices, exchange rates, rubber exports, temperature and planted area on price fluctuations. Utilizing secondary data from 1990 to 2022, the study employs time-series regression, Pearson’s correlation, and Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test for analysis. The findings reveal that the changes in crude oil prices and export volumes are the primary drivers of price changes, whereas changes in temperature, exchange rates, and planted area have a negligible impact. These results offer critical insights for policymakers aiming to stabilize the industry and bolster economic resilience.
