Industry 4.0, characterized by digitalization, automation, and data-driven processes, offers transformative potential for manufacturing sectors. However, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in furniture manufacturing face significant barriers to adopting these technologies. This study examines the challenges hindering Industry 4.0 adoption among SMEs in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and the USA, focusing on economic, regulatory, and skill-related obstacles. By comparing regional differences, the research highlights the need for tailored strategies to enhance competitiveness and sustainability in a globalized market.
