Synthesis and Characterization of 2-Oxo-2-(pyren-1-yl)ethyl 4-(4-Oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)benzoate and 2,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl 4-(4-Oxo-4H-chromen-2-yl)benzoate

Abstract

Flavonoids are a diverse group of naturally occurring compounds known for their wide range of medicinal benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. Among them, flavones represent a key subclass that plays important roles in both plant physiology and human health. This study focuses on the synthesis of novel flavone derivatives that have not been previously reported. The significance of this research lies in the synthesis and structural characterization of these compounds using Infrared (IR) spectroscopy, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and Mass Spectrometry (MS).
