Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the nutritional status intake of fruits and vegetables among Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis students. 95 students consisted of male and female were involved for this study. A food diary for 7 days was taken which participants allowed the researcher to know either the amount of fruits and vegetables is enough or not. After that, the food diary that had been taken for 7 days was analysed using nutrition software which is called MyFitness Pall. The distribution of the food diary and the data collection involved the students of Diploma in Sport Studies (SR113) semester 2 and 4 in UiTM Perlis. All the participants filled up the form for 7 days (2days on weekdays and 1days during weekend). The results showed that the nutritional status intake of fruits and vegetables was not sufficient. Their daily average consumption of Potassium, Vitamins A, C, Iron and Fiber revealed that the intake was insufficient.
