<p>There is a strong emphasis on the use of technology in the delivery of the academic process. It is especially important for students who struggle with the daily learning process, such as children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Game-based learning (GBL) is an effective tool for stimulating the learning process in children with ASD. With the increasing prevalence of ASD and the variety of challenges faced by students on the spectrum in traditional educational settings, there is a growing need for innovative approaches to improve their learning experiences. GBL, with its interactive and engaging elements, has the potential to cater to the unique learning styles and preferences of children with ASD. GBL's interactive and adaptive nature meets the cognitive needs of ASD children, resulting in a more inclusive and engaging learning environment. Examining existing studies and interventions that use GBL to stimulate the learning process for children with ASD, shedding light on the positive outcomes observed in terms of engagement, motivation, and skill acquisition. Using information from previous writings, it discovered improvements in communication skills and academic achievement among ASD children who used the GBL technique. Educators can better address the specific learning needs of ASD children by understanding the cognitive processes involved in GBL. This review has the potential to pave the way for future research and improvements in the use of GBL in ASD educational contexts. Finally, this review contributes to a better understanding of how GBL can be used as a valuable tool to stimulate learning in children with ASD. It aims to inform educators and practitioners about the potential benefits of implementing GBL for children with ASD by synthesizing existing knowledge and identifying areas for further research.</p>Mohd Iftitah Jamil

<p>The research investigates how mastery learning influences novice recorder players by studying essential elements of posture and breathing which form the basis for musical instruction and tone sound production. A research project with 70 Year 3 novice recorder learners who were new to playing the recorder applied a quasi-experimental design. The researcher divided 70 Year 3 recorder students into two separate groups of 35 students each for this study. The study used quantitative methods which included both preliminary and final evaluation assessments used to measure posture and breathing results. The analysis utilized independent samples t-tests together with one-way ANOVA resulting in significant statistical outcomes. Through the mastery learning intervention the experimental group students achieved meaningful improvements in their posture and breathing compared to the control group. <p>The Jawi Peranakan community stands as a remarkable testament to the rich tapestry of cultural exchange and hybrid identity in Southeast Asia. Emerging from the intermarriages between Tamil Muslim traders, known as Chulias, and local Malay women during the 17th and 18th centuries, this unique group has woven together diverse influences from Indian, Malay, and Islamic traditions. Central to their cultural expression is the kebaya, a traditional garment that transcends mere fashion to embody the community's historical journey, social status, and religious values. The kebaya, originally a long, flowing blouse worn over a sarong, has undergone significant evolution, reflecting the intricate interplay of cultural influences that define the Jawi Peranakan identity. As the Chulias integrated into local societies, they adapted their attire to align with Islamic principles of modesty while incorporating elements of Malay aesthetics and Indian textile artistry. This garment not only serves as a symbol of cultural heritage but also as a marker of social standing, showcasing the wealth and refinement of the Jawi Peranakan women who wear it.Moreover, the kebaya's design and construction reveal a fascinating narrative of resilience and adaptation. The incorporation of vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and luxurious fabrics speaks to the community's ability to navigate and negotiate their hybrid status within the broader Malaysian landscape. The use of traditional accessories, such as the kerongsang, further emphasizes the cultural synthesis that characterizes the Jawi Peranakan identity. <p>The heteroatoms, such as sulfur atom, are taught to the pharmacy undergraduates in their first semester of the program. The knowledge on sulfur compounds is significant, since there are available in the structural composition of antibiotics, such as the penicillin, and among others, the amino acids, and proteins. Prior to the lectures on antibiotics and other biologically important molecules, these pharmacists-in-training (PIT) were invited to name chemical compounds of their interests. The object-oriented responses include examples of heterocyclic or sulfur-containing compounds, such as sulflowers. The PIT found out that the front view of the two-dimensional (2D) structure of sulflower, would resemble the <span lang="EN-GB">bloom of a sunflower (</span>botanically known as <em>Helianthus annuus </em><span lang="EN-GB">) or an eight-pointed star</span>. <span lang="EN-GB">The sulflower</span>’s molecular formula is C<sub>16</sub>S<sub>8</sub> or (C<sub>2</sub>S)<sub>8</sub>, which allow the PIT to classify it as a form of carbon sulfide (CS<sub>2</sub>). From their inspection, the substance is a <span lang="EN-GB">highly symmetrical and planar structure, just like the </span>disk-shaped sunflower heads. In addition, the front view of 2D structure of persulfurated coronene (PSC, C<sub>24</sub>S<sub>12</sub>), displays a unique sulfur-rich structure that consists of 12 sulfur atoms and 24 carbon atoms, arranged in a star pattern. The PIT’s discussion would deepen into the atomic bonding, the geometry of the compound, and three-dimensional (3D) molecular arrangement. The information for both hydrocarbon and heterocyclic chemistry topics were successfully shared among the PIT, via such learning educational activity. Further undergraduate research project could include the extraction and analytical investigation of the sunflowers seed extracts, that would introduce PIT to lessons on traditional natural herbal and medicinal practices, plus pharmacognosy. In addition to their practical uses, the sunflowers are also important in art and culture. In short, natural product resources like <em>Helianthus </em>plant species, could be chosen as an interesting and creative pharmaceutical teaching aid.</p>Ibtisam Abdul Wahab

<p>This paper presents an integrated framework for designing culturally-responsive visual learning tools for Malaysian children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). By synthesizing the ADDIE instructional design model, Fleming's VARK learning styles theory, and elements of Malaysian cultural aesthetics, we propose a comprehensive approach to creating educational materials that are both culturally relevant and effectively address the unique learning needs of children with ASD. Through qualitative analysis of existing interventions and case studies, we identify key design principles that incorporate Malaysian cultural elements while supporting the visual-spatial learning strengths commonly observed in children with ASD. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This study explored the effects of music video narratives on listeners and their experiences to fully understand its impact and fill in the study gap on the subject. As the music industry flourished, so did the music videos industry as they are used to promote and convey the message of the songs. A focus group consisting of five people who analyzed music videos and their meanings was conducted. Their responses were analyzed with narrative analysis and the results show that the complexity and simplicity of music videos can significantly affect the audience. The emotional effects are maximized when the lyrics of the songs are related to the scenes or if the story is creatively executed to give the audience the emotional impact intended by the artist. The mix of visual and auditory elements, plus the limited time frame it had to promote the song and spread its message gave the audience a wide range of emotional effects. With their narrative often being left open to interpretations, it encourages people to make their own theories and is even likened to a form of art. <p>Esei ini mengkaji cara dan gaya seseorang pengarang lelaki mencitrakan watak wanita sebagai subjek utama dalam skrip drama pentas bangsawan. Kajian ini dilakukan kerana tidak banyak pengarang lelaki ditemui dalam mencitrakan watak dan perwatakan wanita dan mengangkatnya sebagai watak utama atau hero di dalam drama. Oleh itu, esei ini akan menfokuskan tentang pengarang lelaki mencitrakan watak wanita dalam skrip drama pentas bangsawan berjudul Tasik Dayang Bunting. Terdapat beberapa kaedah teksdealisme yang didapati dalam esei. Penulisan esei ilmiah ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif deskriptif analisis berdasarkan teks drama. <p>Analisis ini mengenai gaya penulisan pengarang lelaki mencitrakan watak wanita sebagai subjek utama dalam skrip pementasan drama bangsawan Laksamana Cheng Ho. Pengarang mendalami watak dan perwatakan wanita dari sudut perspektif pengarang lelaki dalam konteks pemikiran, harapan dan impian, behaviorisma wanita. Analisis ini fokus kepada watak utama iaitu Puteri Ang Di Po dalam dialog, hubungan komunikasinya dengan Maharaja Ming dan Laksamana Cheng Ho serta pemikiranya di luar latar masyarakat pada zaman tersebut di China. Teori pengarang yang digunakan ialah teori teksdealisme. <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Garden of Sight, Sound and Surprise</span></em><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a three-day experimental performance event at UiTM Shah Alam Creative Media Hub, offered audiences a multisensory exploration of the intersection between music and visual art. The event brought together a collaborative team featuring musicians Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrew Filmer and Dr. Yeoh Pei Ann, artist Maslisa Zainuddin, media artist Firdaus Anuar, and student assistant Aru Nariman.
