Abstract

Fiqh al-ta’ahhub (فقه التأهب) is a concept derived from fiqh al-tawaqqu’ (فقه التوقع), which focuses on the jurisprudence of preparedness. Fiqh al-ta’ahhub specifically aims to establish a methodology for addressing future risks across various domains, such as life, management, and beyond. In the context of the halal industry, challenges and risks, particularly in maintaining halal integrity, necessitate effective management. This aligns closely with the concept of fiqh al-ta’ahhub, making it a relevant framework for addressing these issues. However, scholarly discourse on this jurisprudence remains limited. Therefore, this study was conducted to expand the concept of fiqh al-ta’ahhub and analyse its application in halal industry management. Employing a fully qualitative approach, the study utilised library research for data collection, while data analysis was conducted using content analysis methods. The findings reveal that risk management within the halal industry aligns with Islamic principles, which are encapsulated within the framework of fiqh al-ta’ahhub. The study highlights the need for further research to develop this concept in greater detail and strengthen its practical application.
