Abstract

Most students nowadays have less learning motivation, especially towards mathematics. One main factor that may contribute to this problem is the traditional teaching methods practiced by the teachers in school. These methods, while some are still relevant to be used, should be supplemented by more modern approaches, to improve student’s engagements and encourage active learning. The purpose of this research is to investigate effective strategies for enhancing interest in mathematics, focusing to empower both teaching and learning techniques. The results then will offer practical guidance for creating focused interventions to enhance mathematics instruction and create a more encouraging learning environment for the students. The findings will provide actionable insights for developing targeted interventions to improve mathematics education and foster a more motivating and supportive learning environment for secondary school students. Moreover, this research will be beneficial for teachers who wish to improve their teaching styles so that it will be more adaptable to Generation Z students
