<p>The objective of this study is to explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in school libraries and examine how this technology can be implemented to enhance library services. Using a literature review methodology, this study analyzes previous research sourced from the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) databases. The study successfully identifies the factors that both support and hinder the integration of AI in school libraries. Factors such as adequate infrastructure and an inclination toward innovation serve as facilitators for AI implementation. In contrast, challenges like high costs, limited human resources, and concerns about AI's reliability present significant barriers. Additionally, the study emphazises the crucial role of school librarians in the age of AI and identifies the essential competencies they must develop to effectively guide students and manage AI-based services. <p>Social media is a new type of online media that gives users a great space for participation. Its characteristics include online, open communication, dialogue, community, connectivity, etc. Social media is now widely used in many areas of Chinese society. Social media is increasingly reliant on information access and information exchange activities. This phenomenon also appears in the field of China's higher education information service. This paper focuses on how university libraries can effectively use social media functions to carry out virtual education better. The aim is to find out whether the instrument of the survey is reliable to explore the impact of new social media functions of university libraries on the effectiveness of virtual education. The methods of this paper include the following stages: (1) identifying and describing the problem; (2) reviewing literature research; (3) elaborating on the research methods (including the questionnaire survey); (4) data analysis and findings; finally (5) summarizing and forming conclusions and giving suggestions. Based on the total sample size of 50 students from the first to the fourth year of Shandong Youth University of political science, Shandong Management University and Shandong Police College. This preliminary survey found that the instrument is reliable in measuring the social media functions among respondents. This indicates that the respondents have a relatively comprehensive understanding of the new functions and are willing to use them to achieve better virtual education. Therefore, Chinese student students are strongly willing to use new social media functions, and university libraries can promote virtual education by innovating new functions.</p>Liu Bingqiang , Norhayati Hussin

<p>The hotel industry extensively uses online automated systems to manage and enhance its operations, such as client reservations and payments, staff salaries and duties, pricing and refunds, marketing, and hotel review. The benefits of deploying hotel management systems has been well documented in the literature, however, these systems are typically used by well-established hotels that have the necessary resources and manpower. It is important to note that, in rural areas, there also exists a small business owner who runs and manages a hotel to serve the needs of its community with diverse capabilities in terms of resources, manpower and technological limitations. Thus, a preliminary study has been conducted by interviewing the business owner, staff, and their clients to investigate the hotel management system employed. The thematic analysis has shown that the limited capabilities have forced them to employ a manual system to manage their hotel. <p>The DOLEN (Dongeng Online) program initiated by the Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Jawa Timur (East Java Library and Archives Office) aims to help improve children's literacy through educational content based on digital media. The author examines strategic management and management adaptability in facing changes and challenges in implementing the program. Methods used in this writing are observation and interviews with librarians, and the author conducts a SWOT analysis to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the DOLEN program. The author found that libraries play an important role in adjusting to the digital era through technology-based service innovation. Effective management strategies, qualified resources, and adequate infrastructure are the main reasons for the success of the DOLEN program. <p>With the world shifting toward technology and relying heavily on digital perspective in various fields, previous methods of issuing and distributing certificates have become inadequate. Therefore, developing advanced online certification systems that enhance its availability, security, and effectiveness of this process. This paper aims at exploring the benefits of online certification in today’s society. EZCert is a new online certification system and in this paper, we assess the current trends and challenges, coupled with Best Performance analysis to identify how EZCert is a new system certification. This also underlines that the system contributes to increasing transparency, reducing the administrative load, and the issuance of secure and certified certificates. Moreover, it examines how through EZCert, the organization can impact the future of online sources, certification and the sphere in general. <p>This paper provides a review of the literature on the integral role of socio-cultural factors and support systems that can enable success for women entrepreneurs in emerging markets. It also emphasizes different barriers that women face because of socio-cultural attitudes and the importance of family and community influences. The study also delves into the role of governmental policies and NGO support in shaping the small business landscape, highlighting its influence on access to funding and training programs. Comparative studies concerning several other countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh reveal that varied cultural contexts are important for accessing women’s entrepreneurship. Among continuing challenges, such as financial access, the opportunities enabled by digital transformation are being harnessed. <p>The utilization of digital systems to enhance business operations is a well-established strategy among enterprises today. Many businesses choose to adopt technology to remain competitive, however, it is important to note that not all system implementations will achieve complete success without encountering issues. This study examines challenges that the All Sports Booking System needs to address, which relate precisely to system inefficiencies, user dissatisfaction, and trust issues. The study identified some major issues: double booking, slow response time, and poorly designed user interface. The objective is to propose certain improvements in the system based on the user’s feedback. Data collected using interviews and surveys. Findings revealed usability and reliability of the systems are the main problems that affected users' trust in using the system. <p>Interaction problems often arise between event managers and participants in making an event a success. This is due to the use of WhatsApp and Telegram group applications which are no longer relevant to be used as the main medium in managing events especially among small entrepreneurs. Therefore, a smart event management system known as SmartEMS is introduced to offer a complete function in managing events and is more user-friendly. The method used in collecting data for this study to identify every problem that arises with the existing event management system is conducted through interview sessions and analysis of existing studies related to this issue. The collected data was analyzed thematically to obtain clear and accurate analysis results regarding the user's needs for the system. <p>The deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in libraries offers both prospects and considerable ethical dilemmas. This research investigates the ethical ramifications of AI integration in library services, focusing on issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, job displacement, and the possible erosion of human contact. The study seeks to identify and classify significant ethical dilemmas while offering pragmatic advice for library stakeholders. This research employs a thorough literature review technique to assess current scientific papers and reputable sources over the last six years. The results identify six primary areas of ethical challenges: privacy and data security, algorithmic bias and discrimination, transparency and accountability, job displacement, loss of human connection, and the need for ethical frameworks and rules. The research indicates that while AI has substantial promise to enhance library services, meticulous assessment and proactive management of ethical concerns are essential. <p>This project focuses on the development of a Retiree Records Management System specifically designed for the Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Kelantan Pension Subunit. The current reliance on manual filing methods using Excel software has proven to be inefficient. This approach is not only slow and prone to inaccuracies but also exposes retiree files to risks of loss and manipulation. The primary objective of this project is to create a web-based system that simplifies and secures the search and management of retiree files. By implementing such a system, we aim to ease the workload of the staff responsible for this task, while enhancing both accuracy and security. The proposed system will allow staff to search for retiree files, add new records, and manage file retention by displaying a list of files scheduled for disposal after a predetermined retention period. Additionally, the system will enable staff to update retiree details accurately and efficiently. <p>Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy refers to the degree of knowledge, skills, and ability that a person needs to effectively develop, manage, and understand the capabilities of AI in a variety of fields, including education. These days, the idea of AI is gaining popularity and needs further study. Nevertheless, prior research indicates a lack of studies on AI literacy, particularly regarding its determinants and impacts. Therefore, the objective of this study is to establish and validate an instrument that can determine AI literacy and its productivity. The study covered several stages of empirical phases and a content validity evaluation. A set of variables was chosen based on previous studies. Then, a pilot instrument was developed according to the variables chosen. Lastly, the instrument was validated using an expert review method. The reliability and face validity of potential responders were examined. <p>The challenges faced in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in both significant potentials to improve library operations, barriers such as financial constraints, lack of technical expertise, and concerns over data privacy and security hinder its full adoption. To address these issues, this study examines the innovations, challenges, and impacts of AI implementation in library services. A systematic literature review was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, with data collected from Scopus, ProQuest, and Web of Science databases. Five key studies were published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed. The findings reveal that AI has greatly enhanced library operations through applications such as automated cataloging, virtual assistants for real-time user support, and IoT-based resources management systems. However, financial and technical challenges, as well as privacy concerns, continue to limit broader implementation. Despite these obstacles, AI adoption has improved operational efficiency and user satisfaction. To maximize AI's benefits, libraries require targeted strategies, including increased funding, staff training, and infrastructure development. <p>Individual creativity plays a vital role in how the individuals approach and solve problems. The purpose of this pilot study is to investigate the relation between organizational culture and individual creativity in higher education institutions. The study is adopting quantitative research methodology. 30 academics completed on the online survey which consist of 6 sections. The research framework is based on four organizational culture that include adhocracy, market, clan, and hierarchy. In the study all four cultural dimensions have been reported to positively impact individual creativity. Cronbach alpha coefficients further supported the reliability coefficient of the instrument. One of the identified indicators, which is managing coordination is discovered to be unreliable as it resulted to a coefficient of 0.28. Thus, the item is omitted from the study. The findings of the study explore on the effect of organizational culture on individual creative behavior and its implications for higher learning institutions. <p>This paper investigates the availability of free WiFi on college campuses and how availability interacts with students to compose their social and academic engagement. Utilising a bibliometric method First, this study provides an overview of significant authors, themes, and research trends regarding WiFi accessibility in higher education institutions. The research data were obtained using the Scopus database and analyzed by VOSviewer, Microsoft Excel, and SPSS 25.0. The results of the study show that WiFi can promote higher academic accomplishment, collaborative learning, and participation in extracurricular activities. However, issues such as a lack of reliable WiFi and thin coverage need to be resolved to ensure students get the best educational experience they can. These technologies facilitate real-time data collection and analysis, streamline inventory management, and automate circulation processes, resulting in increased user engagement and higher service quality. However, implementing IoT comes with challenges, including the need for large investments in security, staff training, and technology infrastructure. This review aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the benefits and challenges associated with IoT integration in libraries, with a special focus on Indonesian libraries. Research findings indicate that while IoT offers significant advantages in modernizing library services, careful planning and resource allocation are essential to overcome the associated barriers. <p>The use of Instagram social media as a branding tool by Universitas Airlangga Library has shown significant results in building a positive image among the millennial generation. The main objective of this research is to analyze the impact of using Instagram in building a positive image and interaction with the millennial generation. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative method. The data collection process was carried out using semi-structured interviews and observation. The informants were Public Relations of Universitas Airlangga Library as the Instagram manager and two followers of @unairlibrary Instagram account. The results showed that the library utilizes interactive features such as Instagram Live and responsiveness to comments to create two-way communication with users. The collaborative and innovative programs launched also contribute to strengthening the library's position as a relevant information center in the digital era. With an effective branding strategy, Universitas Airlangga Library not only succeeded in raising awareness of the services offered, but also built a strong emotional connection with the academic community. <p>Batik is a textile handicraft art that refers to the technique of creating fabric patterns by involving two main processes, namely wax-resist dyeing followed by the dyeing process. This study examines the innovation aspect of the creation technique from existing conventional methods such as the canting, copper stamp application, and silk screen printing to the application of alternative tools in generating design patterns, specifically using two tools, namely used boxes and wire brushes. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the application and potential of contemporary abstract design patterns produced through the use of these alternative tools, which are applied through practical methods. Additionally, it aims to enrich the study of innovative alternative batik creation techniques that can provide benefits and ideas to batik artisans or entrepreneurs exploring the potential of tools in the category of used tools or low-cost everyday tools, in line with the current trend of the dominance of contemporary abstract batik design preferences in Malaysia compared to traditional motif-laden designs featuring flora and fauna. The methodology of this study is based on artistic practice research, utilising Graham Wallas’s Creative Process Model (1926) to evaluate the outcomes of using alternative tools. <p>This paper presents the conceptual design of an Employee Training Registration Management System aimed at streamlining training workflows in healthcare. The system addresses the manual way of the hospital staff in registering training sessions. The admin will have the function to generate reports and manage submissions. Key features include user-friendly interfaces, centralized data management, role-based access, enhancing operational efficiency, accessibility, and data-driven decision-making. The system’s paperless design also aligns with sustainability goals, reducing environmental impact. Future enhancements, such as mobile app integration and AI-powered analytics, are discussed, along with scalability potential to other departments and industries.
