Specifically, the ultimate aim of this study is to investigate the influential factors contributing to students’ intrinsic motivation to learn mathematics related subjects. Participants of this study were 137 students (45 male and 92 female) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan Branch, Kota Bharu campus. Data were collected using an online questionnaire which was distributed through the WhatsApp platform. A multiple linear regression analysis was employed to achieve the objective of the study. Results show that both mathematics self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety significantly affect students’ intrinsic motivation in learning mathematics related subjects. A fair and transparent election system is essential to the freedom that the majority of people in today's world enjoy. In every nation, voting is an important and serious occasion. However, the traditional elections are controlled and managed by a centralised authority, which makes them vulnerable to numerous security privacy, fraud, integrity, and fairness issues. On the other hand, electronic voting offers less errors and quicker counting. It can also remove votes that are questioned or declared invalid. Currently, the election system used by Universiti Teknologi Mara Cawangan Kelantan (UiTMCK) is suffering from a poor voter turnout since the system in place is not convenient for most students. Normally, the students would have to stand in a long queue to register when joining a voting event. As the registration of the students is recorded manually, it is difficult for the event organizer to manage the event efficiently. It is also unable to prevent any irresponsible authorities who may exploit and manipulate the votes in favor of their preferred candidates which temper the expected free and fair elections. Therefore, E-Voting Mobile Application System (E-Voting MAS) is proposed to overcome these problems. E-Voting MAS was developed using Agile model. This study proves the E-Voting MAS is feasible at UiTMCK, utilizing an approach that seamlessly integrates convenience and security.
2023-12-18T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Mathematics and Computing Sciencehttps://journal.uitm.edu.my/ojs/index.php/JMCS/article/view/538Application of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) In Choosing a Comprehensive University for Medical Course2023-12-13T02:25:48+08:00Nurul Suhada Aziznurulsuhada@uitm.edu.myMuhammad Umirul Amir Hamzahmuhammadumirul@gmail.comNur Qistina Md Zaherruddintinazaherruddin@gmail.comSiti Zulaikha Abdullahsiti.zulaikhx@gmail.com

The Malaysian education system offers a wide range of courses to school leavers in public and private universities. In this study, adomian decomposition method and variational iteration method will be used in solving homogenous and nonhomogeneous third order ordinary differential equations and analysis on method of solutions will be discussed. With so many options of SNS available, the university management must identify which platform is commonly used by students. Hence, this study proposes a Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) approach to evaluate and rank five popular SNSs: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube among students in Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kelantan (UiTMCK). Five experts were invited to provide a rating of the performance values of criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives using a linguistic scale. A rough neutrosophic set was chosen as the uncertainty set theory information, which includes the upper and lower approximation with a boundary set approximation. The objectives of this research are to define a binary logarithm similarity measure for a rough neutrosophic set, to formulate the properties satisfied by the proposed similarity measure, and to develop a decision-making model by using a binary logarithm similarity measure for a case study (COVID-19). The roughness approximation was used in the derivation of the binary logarithm similarity measure. The proving result was finalized. This paper involved the application of Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) mathematical model, SIR model with implementation of Fourth Order Runge-Kutta method in order to analyse the number of individuals in three compartments: susceptible, infected and recovered. Furthermore, this paper examined tuberculosis disease prediction by comparing two SIR models and percentage of error by comparing to actual data. The least percentage error model will be chosen to proceed with the prediction of tuberculosis incidence rate for each 100,000 people in Malaysia for 2022. Next, the value of parameters for transmission rate, β and recovery rate, γ, are varied in order to see the effect on incidence rate value. As a result, it was found that SIR model with demography was more accurate and applicable to use as a prediction model for tuberculosis disease. It was also shown that the number of people reported at the peak of the graph decreases with the decrease in transmission rate. Meanwhile, at the end of the year, the incidence rate per 100,000 individuals increased with a reduced transmission rate and a higher incidence rate per 100,000 individuals regardless of recovery rate. Thus, it can be concluded that these variables give significant impact in determining the incidence rate of tuberculosis.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Mathematics and Computing Sciencehttps://journal.uitm.edu.my/ojs/index.php/JMCS/article/view/557Statistical Analysis of Factors Influencing Health Literacy Level Using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis2023-12-31T08:46:41+08:00Norshaieda Abdullahnorsha052@uitm.edu.myNurul Hafizah Azizanhafizahaz@uitm.edy.mySiti Mahirah Mahzanmahiramahzan2207@gmail.comNik Amirul Shakir Ismail2020964453@student.uitm.edu.myKhairunnisa Tan Iskandar Hassan Tan2020964727@student.uitm.edu.my
Health literacy is defined as the ability to receive, read, comprehend, and use healthcare information to make informed health decisions and follow treatment guidelines.
