Abstract

Shorea, a vascular plant with 150 species in Malaysia, is known for its antibacterial properties. It contains tannins, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, and flavonoids, which are used to treat various infections. This study aims to evaluate the bioactive compounds and antibacterial properties of Shorea pauciflora, potentially aiding medical research by identifying potential bacteria-killing or suppressing compounds.
