The Classification and Importance of Macrofungi Species in UCS Forest, UiTM Puncak Alam

Abstract

Fungi represent a diverse organism and are mainly distributed on the earth. Malaysia is well-known for its abundant biodiversity, which is home to a diverse collection of fungi especially macrofungi species. A study on the diversity of macrofungi species has been conducted in University Campus Selangor (UCS) Forest, UiTM Puncak Alam from March to May 2024. The purpose of this study is to identify the macrofungi diversity and to access the potential contribution to the development of food industry, medical applications, or ecosystem that can be found in UCS Forest.
