Abstract

Transportation noise is a major source of noise pollution. Traffic noise in residential areas poses health risks and affects the quality of life for the residents. Observing the number of transport vehicles traveling on the roadway has been in increasing trend over the past few years, hence it is crucial to research traffic noise and ensure the noise level is still within the acceptable range by referring to the standard. This study aims to measure the traffic noise exposure level, identify traffic volume, and analyze the relationship between noise levels and traffic volume in the residential area at Section 18, Shah Alam. The result will help understand the impact of traffic noise in residential areas and support efforts to reduce noise pollution.
