In this study, pristine Al2O3 powder was prepared by a simple self-propagating combustion (SPC) method. The effect of the different fuels on synthesized Al2O3 powder on thermal, structural, and morphological properties was investigated. The fuels utilized include formic, citric, oxalic, and tartaric acids. Based on the STA results, all precursors were annealed at 1100ºC for 24 hours to obtain pristine Al2O3 powder. XRD results show that all samples correspond to the α-Al2O3 crystal structure. Notably, differences in the morphology and particle size of all samples were observed through FESEM micrographs.
