Literature review on theories of work-life balance

Work-life balance is responsible for shaping the balanced life between the career or business and family. However people always have challenges in order for them to balance between work and famil and also vice versa. For instance, inter role conflict on the work position and responsibility to family members. The purpose of this study aims to comprehend the literature review on several theories as fundamental to understand the concepts of work-life balance. The methodological-based articles on literature review analysis from journal articles of work-life balance to address the theories that commonly used by the researchers of the area of studies. In addition Thematic Analysis apply to identify the common theories discussed in Literature Review. The finding discussed the theories of Spillover Theory, Social Action Theory (SET) Theory, and Conservation of Resources Theory (COR) of work-life balance in EMERALD and SCOPUS databases. The limitation of this study is the period of literature review with the time frame of database was from 2022 to 2024. The finding implies to identify the most discussed literature review on theories of work-life balance. The fundamental of the theory and the practice were discussed. The theories mentioned by the literature review are very useful for future research.
