Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

  1. Articles should be written in English or Bahasa Melayu and should not exceed 17 single-spaced pages using font size 10.
  2. The format should be Microsoft Word version 6 or higher.
  3. All submissions should be accompanied by a statement that the said articles have not been submitted and will not be submitted for publication anywhere else.
  4. To date, the journal does not have any article processing charges (APC) and article submission charges.
  5. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions.
  6. The article submitted should include the title of the article, author or authors, key words (not more than five), address for correspondence, e-mail address for each author and relevant telephone number(s).
  7. Contact information must be given for all co-author(s). Style Orthography may follow British or American conventions, but should be consistent throughout the text.
  8. Citations and References Citations and references should follow APA conventions.
  9. JHSMR accepts manuscripts in IMRaD: Introduction, Methodology, Results/Analysis & Discussion format only.
  10. The maximum page per manuscript is 17 pages only including references.

Abstracts

Each article should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words.
