Open Access Policy

The Journal of Halal Science and Management Research (JHSMR) is a fully open-access journal. All articles are freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription or access fees. JHSMR provides open access based on the principle that unrestricted availability of research promotes global knowledge exchange.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles without prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided that proper citation is given to the original work.

All articles published on the JHSMR website (https://journal.uitm.edu.my/ojs/index.php/jhsmr/index) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC BY-SA, version 4.0). Under this license:

• Authors retain copyright of their work.
• Article may be freely downloaded, shared, distributed and adapted for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
• Appropriate attribution must be provided to the original article and JHSMR must be cited as the publisher.
• Adapted or derivative works must be distributed under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Upon submission, authors grant JHSMR a license to publish, display, store, copy and reuse the content. This license may be withdrawn only if the author requests withdrawal by contacting the Chief Editor within one month of submission. After publication, papers cannot be withdrawn.

The CC BY-SA license does not apply to third-party content included in the article that carries a separate copyright notice. Authors must comply with the terms of any third-party copyright or licensing requirements unless the content is also covered under a compatible open-access license.
