Abstract

The purpose of this study is to scrutinize the scenario of learner autonomy among college EFL students in Fujian Province, China. It is to investigate the following: (1) to determine the learning behavior of college EFL students autonomous learning in the digital age in Fujian Province, China; (2) to investigate the factors affecting Chinese college EFL students’ learner autonomy in the digital environment; (3) to examine the approaches to promoting learner autonomy among college EFL students using digital technology; (4) to develop a model for using digital environment to promote learner autonomy among college EFL students. The investigation in this study can offer valuable insights to college policymakers, language lecturers, students, and parents to improve college students’ English language autonomous learning.
