Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript has been checked and the similarity index is below 20%

Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Authors

  1. The submission file MUST be in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document format. Each article should be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 200 words. The manuscript should be between 10 and 15 pages (approximately 5000-6000 words).
  2. For the initial submission, authors must ensure that their identities and affiliations are removed from the document and submitted separately. Non-compliance will be rejected. Please adhere to the template provided here, JAS Submission Paper Template
  3. Submission MUST include a Turnitin (or any plagiarism checker) report with less than a 20% similarity index.
  4. The text MUST follow the latest APA conventions. Refer to this link for notable changes from APA 6 to APA 7th Edition.
  5. The final submission for publication should follow this template – JAS Submission Paper Template and Declaration Form
  6. Please ensure that all the information in the paper is accurate to avoid any change requests later.

 Article Processing Charge

  1. The article processing fee is USD30 per paper. The corresponding author will be notified of the payment procedure in their publication acceptance letter.
  2. We publish two (2) times a year in April and  October.

Open access and copyright

The authors have the full copyright holder of the published papers in the Journal of Administrative Science (JAS). Permission must be obtained from the copyright holder concerned if all or any parts of previously published illustrations are used. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions and providing them to the journal.

Corrections and Retractions

All authors have an obligation to inform and cooperate with journal editors to provide prompt retractions or correction of errors in published works. The journal will issue retractions and embargo for one year if:

  1. There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (such as fabricating and manipulation of data)  or honest error (such as miscalculation or experimental error),
  2. The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing, permission or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication),
  3. It constitutes plagiarism, and
  4. It reports unethical research.
