Abstract

Based on the theoretical foundation of the origin of art, this paper analyzes the perspectives on the origin of art in both Chinese and Western contexts, followed by an examination of the origin of lines in Gongbi painting. From an artistic perspective, it conducts an in-depth exploration of the expressive qualities of lines in Gongbi flower-and-bird painting. The paper first outlines the development of ancient Gongbi flower-and-bird painting and the application of lines within it, then analyzes the aesthetic value, emotional expression, and technical characteristics of lines in this genre, and finally discusses the future development of lines in Gongbi flower-and-bird painting. The aim is to elucidate the significant contributions of "lines" in China's Gongbi flower-and-bird painting.How do painters convey emotional expression through the use of lines in their paintings?
