Policy
Authors publishing in the International Journal of Art and Design (IJAD) retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant IJAD a non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual license to:

  • Publish, reproduce and disseminate the article in print and electronic formats
  • Identify IJAD as the original publisher of the version of record
  • Distribute, archive and preserve the published article
  • Deposit and index the article in recognized abstracting, indexing and digital preservation services
  • Assign and maintain a DOI for persistent identification

This arrangement does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership. Authors remain the legal copyright holders at all times.

Author Self-Archiving and Reuse
Authors are permitted to:

  • Share the published version of record on personal or institutional websites
  • Deposit the article in institutional or subject repositories
  • Disseminate the work through academic and scholarly networking platforms
  • Reuse the content in future scholarly works (e.g., books, lectures or derivative research)

All such reuse must include full and accurate citation to the original publication in IJAD, including the DOI, where available.

IJAD does not claim ownership of submitted content and supports authors’ academic freedom to reuse and build upon their work in accordance with the applicable license terms and recognized ethical publishing standards, consistent with Scopus-indexed publication practices.

Indexed in MYCITE (Malaysian Citation Index), MyJurnal (Malaysian Jurnal Managment System), Google Scholar, Crossref, DOI and ASCI (Asian Science Citation Index), IJAD ensures global visibility and accessibility for published content, facilitating wider dissemination and engagement with the latest developments in art and design research.
