Cloisonné is a traditional Chinese craft treasure with a long history, holding a lofty historical status and cultural value. With the progress of the times and the intensification of diversified social demands, the development of contemporary cloisonné has shown multidimensional explorations, yet research focusing on the form itself remains insufficient. This study centers on the core element of Chinese contemporary cloisonné art "form" using eight influential contemporary cloisonné works as cases and drawing upon Feldman's art criticism theory, it systematically explores the formal breakthroughs, cultural connotations, and more profound value significance of their innovative forms. The findings reveal that contemporary cloisonné forms break through the traditional symmetrical paradigm through imagery, abstraction, deconstruction and reorganization, and cross-disciplinary integration, forming three primary innovation directions: "functional dimension expansion," "cultural concept reshaping," and "cross-disciplinary integration of craft techniques." In addition, it elucidates the multifaceted significance of these innovations, including breaking through traditional forms, conveying contemporary concepts, reshaping cultural symbols, and broadening social aesthetic education, providing theoretical and practical references for the contemporary transformation of traditional Chinese crafts and the sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage.
