Abstract

Kajian ini menganalisis kesetiaan tema dalam naratif filem adaptasi melalui pendekatan analisis tekstual. Kesetiaan dalam filem adaptasi Let Me Eat Your Pancreas (2017) adalah merupakan kesetiaan tema. Kesetiaan tema adalah sebuah adaptasi yang mengekalkan tema di samping setia dengan idea karya asal. Kesetiaan tema bukan bermakna sebuah filem adaptasi itu tidak setia dengan karya asal tetapi kesetiaan tema diolah dengan sinematik dalam proses mengadaptasi dari novel ke dalam filem. Kajian ini ingin menghujahkan bahawa filem ini telah melakukan perubahan dengan mengekalkan kesetiaan tema dan bukannya kesetiaan cerita. Tujuan kajian adalah untuk mengenal pasti elemen naratif filem dan novel serta menganalisis elemen naratif filem dan novel bagi menunjukkan kesetiaan tema dalam filem. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis tekstual dengan mengambil kira Teori Ekranisasi oleh Pamusuk Eneste iaitu aspek penambahan, pengecutan dan perubahan bervariasi. Hasil analisis dan perbincangan kajian menunjukkan bahawa Let Me Eat Your Pancreas telah mengekalkan elemen naratif yang boleh dikenal pasti sebagai kesetiaan tema. Kajian ini diharap dapat memberi sumbangan bermanfaat kepada pengkajian filem adaptasi dalam konteks kesetiaan tema pada masa hadapan.
