Peer Review
The Voice of Academia VoA applies a clearly defined double blind peer review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are not disclosed to each other at any stage. This process ensures independent, unbiased, and objective evaluation of all submissions. Peer review is a core element of the journal’s quality assurance and is used to assess originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s official online submission system hosted on Open Journal Systems OJS. The journal does not accept submissions outside this system in order to ensure transparency and proper tracking of the editorial process.
Ethical Standards and Conflicts of Interest
VoA follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics COPE. All editors and reviewers are required to declare any competing interests and must recuse themselves from the review process where a conflict exists. The journal ensures that all editorial decisions are made with full transparency and integrity. VoA is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and accountable peer review system. The review process is guided by internationally recognized standards, including the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to support transparent and ethically sound scholarly publishing.

Editorial and Peer Review Workflow
Initial Screening:
The editorial office conducts an initial assessment to verify that the manuscript meets the journal’s submission requirements, ethical standards, and scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are rejected without external review. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software before proceeding further.
Editorial Assignment:
The Editor in Chief assigns each eligible manuscript to a handling editor with appropriate subject expertise. The handling editor evaluates the manuscript for academic quality and suitability for peer review.
Reviewer Selection:
A minimum of two independent reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, research background, and absence of conflicts of interest. The journal ensures that reviewers are not affiliated with the same institution as the authors where possible.
Peer Review Evaluation:
Reviewers assess the manuscript using the following criteria:
originality and contribution to knowledge
methodological and analytical rigor
clarity and organization of the manuscript
relevance to the journal’s aims and readership
Reviewers provide detailed and constructive comments and recommend one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
Editorial Decision:
The handling editor considers all reviewer reports and submits a recommendation to the Editor in Chief, who makes the final decision. If reviewer opinions differ significantly, additional reviewers may be invited. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit and are free from commercial or institutional influence.
Author Revision:
Authors receive anonymised reviewer comments and are required to revise their manuscript accordingly. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation where necessary.
Final Decision and Publication:
Manuscripts that meet the journal’s standards are formally accepted. Accepted articles undergo copyediting, proofreading, and formatting before publication. The final version of record is published online with open access and is freely available to all readers without subscription or access charges.
