Abstract

This research employs the extended Mobile Technology Acceptance Model (MTAM) to explore the elements affecting the adoption of mobile payments. Mobile payment systems have swiftly changed the economic environment, providing a convenient and secure method for transactions, especially for micro-entrepreneurs. Nevertheless, there remains a crucial need to comprehend the factors affecting their adoption to improve their accessibility and usefulness. This research explores the connections between essential determinants of mobile payment adoption, such as mobile ease of use, mobile usefulness, social influence, and mobile self-efficacy, specifically among micro-entrepreneurs. The structural equation model (SEM) was utilised to assess these connections, thoroughly analysing the foundational factors. By pinpointing the most influential predictors, this research seeks to add to the expanding body of knowledge on mobile payment adoption and provide practical insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and technology developers.
