Copyright and Licensing

Copyright

Authors retain copyright of their published work.

Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant the ASEAN Entrepreneurship Journal (AEJ) a non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive and preserve the article as part of the scholarly record.

This licence permits AEJ to:

  • publish the article as the Version of Record;
  • reproduce and distribute the article in electronic and other appropriate formats;
  • make the article available through the journal platform and other recognised scholarly distribution channels;
  • archive and preserve the published article as part of the permanent scholarly record; and
  • identify AEJ as the original publisher and provide the appropriate citation to the Version of Record.

The granting of this licence does not transfer copyright ownership from the authors to AEJ.

Author Rights

Authors may share and deposit the published Version of Record in institutional repositories, personal websites and other appropriate non-commercial repositories, subject to the applicable licence terms and with proper acknowledgement of the original publication in AEJ.

Authors should provide a complete citation to the published article and, where available, a link to the official AEJ publication.

License

All articles published by AEJ are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Under this licence, users may share and adapt the published material provided that the licence conditions are followed.

Full licence terms: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License

Permitted Use

The CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence permits the following uses:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform and build upon the material.

These permissions are available provided that the applicable licence conditions are observed.

Licence Conditions

Users must comply with the following conditions:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given to the author and the original publication in AEJ. A link to the licence must be provided and any modifications must be indicated. Attribution must not suggest that the author or AEJ endorses the use.
  • NonCommercial: The material may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • ShareAlike: Adapted material must be distributed under the same licence as the original work.
  • No Additional Restrictions: Users may not apply legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights permitted by the licence.

Third Party Material

Where an article contains material owned by third parties, such as photographs, illustrations, datasets or other copyrighted content, such material may be subject to separate copyright or licensing terms. Users are responsible for determining whether permission is required for their intended use of third party material.
