A study on the space utilisation rate of public higher education classrooms to accommodate the increasing demand for educational spaces by focusing on their classrooms. Identifies several factors contributing to space inefficiencies, including low utilisation rates, a mismatch between space design and usage, and lack of organisation within classrooms. The study focuses on current practices on space management mixed method been applied towards three (3) public higher institutions are selected within the Klang Valley area. The study is specifically covered in the College of Built Environment classes at each university by interviewed two (2) representative expertise in build environment and engineering field, timetable coordinators. The utilisation of the classrooms was determined by using utilisation rate (by referring and observed the timetable), Frequency rate (how frequent the space being used), and Occupancy rate (nos of capacity or users) – “UFO” formulation. The findings from the research indicate that this study will be finished on the rate of space utilisation in public higher education classes to focus their classrooms and satisfy the rising demand for academic spaces. In addition to overcoming a limitation of understanding and abilities, particularly within the management team, this paper may assist in overcoming that issue by signifying improvements. This study's findings will include on-field current practices and their utilisation rate, providing a better understanding. From the results shown, most of the classrooms are optimally utilised, and no classroom is congested. To conclude the utilisation rate, this model can be utilised globally in implementing the space utilisation higher education institutions.
