Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Social and Management Research Journal (SMRJ) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality and integrity.

  • All submissions are initially screened by the editorial office to assess suitability and compliance with the journal’s scope and submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.
  • Suitable manuscripts are assigned to an Associate Editor, who manages the review process.
  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
  • The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure impartiality.
  • Reviewers assess manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, methodological rigor and clarity of presentation.
  • Based on reviewers’ reports, the Associate Editor makes a recommendation and the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision (accept, revise, or reject).
  • Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments before a final decision is made.

The journal ensures that any potential conflicts of interest involving editors or reviewers are appropriately managed to maintain the integrity of the review process. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by the publisher or affiliated institutions.
