Copyright and Licensing

The Journal of Creative Arts (JCA) provides immediate open access to its published content to support the unrestricted dissemination and reuse of scholarly knowledge.

Authors retain the copyright to their published articles and grant Penerbit UiTM Press the right of first publication and the non exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute and make the article publicly available in all forms and media associated with the journal.

All articles published by JCA are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). This licence permits others to read, download, copy, share, reproduce, distribute, adapt, translate and otherwise reuse the published work for any lawful purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors, the source is cited, a link to the licence is provided and any changes are clearly indicated.

Authors retain the right to use, share and otherwise reuse their published work in accordance with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 licence. Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have obtained the necessary permissions for any third party copyrighted material incorporated into their manuscript.

The copyright and licensing arrangements do not restrict the rights of authors to use their own work for scholarly, educational or other lawful purposes. Any third party material included in an article remains subject to the copyright and licensing conditions applicable to that material.
