Vol. 6 No. 1 (2024): March 2024 Issue of the Journal of Islamic Philanthropy & Social Finance (JIPSF) comprises 10 articles that explore a diverse range of topics related to Islamic philanthropy, social finance, governance, community development, and contemporary socio-religious issues. Reflecting the journal’s multidisciplinary scope, the issue combines conceptual discussions, empirical research, and case studies that demonstrate the relevance of Islamic values in addressing modern societal and economic challenges. A notable feature of this issue is its emphasis on the interaction between Islamic principles and contemporary social realities. Articles examine religious freedom and Muslim identity in Europe, the application of classical Islamic governance concepts to the development of a fiqh of employment in Malaysia, and the influence of religious beliefs on attitudes towards Islamic payment methods. These studies provide valuable perspectives on how Islamic teachings continue to shape behaviour, policy, and community engagement in diverse contexts.
