About the Journal

The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) is an international peer-reviewed journal published by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The journal provides a platform for scholarly research in international business, economics, entrepreneurship and related fields, with particular attention to emerging and transitional economies.

JIBE serves a global readership of researchers, academics, doctoral and postgraduate students, policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry professionals and practitioners. The journal welcomes submissions from diverse geographical and institutional contexts, including comparative and cross-country studies where these approaches strengthen analytical relevance.

All submissions are subject to an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability for the journal's scope and basic quality standards. Manuscripts that pass this stage are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on the originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigour, clarity of presentation and contribution to the existing literature. Submissions that fall outside the journal's scope or do not meet the journal's quality requirements may be declined without external review.

JIBE is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, editorial independence, research integrity and transparency throughout the editorial and publication process. The journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. The journal's editorial policies and publication practices are designed to promote fairness, transparency and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process.

To promote research transparency, authors are encouraged to provide data availability statements and, where appropriate, deposit supporting datasets in recognised public repositories or make them available upon reasonable request, subject to ethical, legal and confidentiality considerations.
