About the Journal

The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) is an international peer-reviewed journal published by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The journal provides a platform for scholarly research in international business, economics, entrepreneurship and related fields, with particular attention to issues relevant to emerging and transitional economies.

JIBE serves a global readership comprising researchers, academics, doctoral and postgraduate students, policymakers, entrepreneurs, industry professionals and practitioners. The journal welcomes submissions from diverse geographical and institutional contexts, including comparative and cross-country studies where such approaches enhance the analytical relevance and contribution of the research.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their alignment with the journal's scope, scholarly relevance and basic quality requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subsequently evaluated through a double-blind peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on the originality, scholarly quality, methodological rigour, clarity of presentation and contribution of the manuscript to the existing body of knowledge. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope or do not meet the required quality standards may be declined without being sent for external peer review.

JIBE is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, editorial independence, research integrity and transparency throughout the editorial and publication process. The journal follows the principles set out in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and applies editorial and publication policies designed to promote fairness, consistency, accountability and integrity.

To support research transparency and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to provide a data availability statement with their submissions. Where appropriate and subject to ethical, legal, privacy and confidentiality requirements, authors are also encouraged to deposit supporting datasets in recognised public repositories or make the relevant data available upon reasonable request. Authors should clearly indicate any restrictions on data access and where applicable, provide information on how eligible researchers may obtain access to the underlying data or materials.
