Article Processing Charge (APC)

Effective from Volume 9, Issue 2 (October 2026), the E-Journal of Islamic Thought and Understanding (E-JITU) implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) of RM200.00 for each article accepted for publication.

The standard APC of RM200.00 applies to all accepted manuscripts, including those submitted by international authors. For international authors, the equivalent amount in the applicable foreign currency is subject to the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment.

A special APC rate of RM150.00 applies to articles accepted for publication under a special issue (special theme), subject to a minimum of 20 accepted articles for the special issue. This special rate is intended to support the costs associated with the editorial process, copyediting, and publication, while ensuring the continued quality and sustainability of the journal.

The APC is payable only after an article has been formally accepted for publication. No payment is required at the time of submission or during the peer-review process. Payment instructions and the relevant payment link will be provided by the Editorial Office after acceptance.
