About E-JITU

The E-Journal of Islamic Thought & Understanding (E-JITU) (e-ISSN 2600-9617) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Penerbit Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM Press) and managed by the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Melaka, Malaysia.

E-JITU provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate original research and scholarly works addressing significant issues in Islamic studies and related fields. The journal welcomes research and conceptual papers that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and are relevant to the academic community and society at large.

The journal is published biannually (April and October) and accepts manuscripts written in Bahasa Melayu or English. E-JITU maintains a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic merit of published manuscripts.

E-JITU covers a broad range of areas in Islamic studies, including Islamic Communication, Muamalat, Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking and Finance, Shari'ah and Law, Islamic Law and Judicial System, Halal Science and Management, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, Comparative Religion, Islamic Education and Management, and Islamic Administration and Management. E-JITU is indexed in MyCite (starting from 2025), Google Scholar, and MyJurnal. The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing, editorial integrity, and ethical publication practices.
