About the Journal

The Journal of Halal Science and Management Research (JHSMR) (e-ISSN: 3093-8368) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal advancing interdisciplinary research in halal science, governance and management.

JHSMR publishes original research and critical reviews that advance understanding of halal products, services, systems and markets. Its scope includes halal science and technology, Shariah governance, halal supply chains, market development, digital innovation and sustainability. The journal particularly welcomes rigorous studies that integrate scientific, technological, managerial or governance perspectives and offer clear contributions to halal research, policy or practice.

Manuscripts are accepted in English and Bahasa Malaysia. JHSMR is managed by the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) and published by UiTM Press, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia.

The Journal of Halal Science and Management Research (JHSMR) invites researchers, academicians, industry experts and policymakers to submit original manuscripts for upcoming issues. JHSMR is an open access, peer reviewed international journal published biannually (March and September), dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research in halal science, Shariah and management.
