About the Journal

Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by UiTM Press, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. JIBE serves as a platform for original, high-quality research on issues in international business, economics, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on emerging markets and developing economies.

Editorial Selectivity
The journal maintained a 35% acceptance rate in 2024.

Publication Frequency
Starting in 2025, JIBE is published biannually, with two regular issues released in May and October.

Archiving and Digital Preservation
JIBE is committed to long-term digital preservation of its published content. The journal’s content is archived through:

  • CLOCKSS and LOCKSS digital preservation systems
  • Stored on our UiTM Institutional Repository
  • Assigned Crossref DOIs for persistent identification
  • Indexed by third-party platforms (e.g., DOAJ, OpenAlex, Google Scholar)

Author Charges
Universiti Teknologi MARA is supporting the publishing costs, article submission, processing charges and any other publication fees for JIBE. As such, JIBE does not charge any submission fees, editorial processing charges, article processing charges, page charges or color charges.

  • Page charges: no fees
  • Colour charges (APCs): no fees

Revenue Sources
The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) operates with full financial support from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)—through UiTM Press and the Faculty of Business and Management.

The journal is also sustained by the dedicated volunteer efforts of academic staff who contribute their time and expertise to editorial and peer review processes.

JIBE does not generate revenue from advertising, subscriptions, article reprints or author fees. All editorial decisions are made with complete independence and are never influenced by financial or commercial interests.

This model reflects our commitment to academic integrity, accessibility and the advancement of scholarly knowledge without commercial bias.

Advertising Policy
The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) does not accept or display advertisements of any kind. This includes banner ads, sponsored content, promotional materials or any form of commercial advertising—whether on the website or within published articles.

This policy is in place to ensure that:

  • Editorial decisions remain fully independent and free from commercial influence
  • All published content upholds academic neutrality and scholarly objectivity
  • A clear and consistent boundary is maintained between editorial content and any potential commercial interests

JIBE remains committed to academic excellence, ethical publishing practices and the trust of our scholarly community.

Direct Marketing Policy
