The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) publishes peer-reviewed research that advances theoretical, empirical and methodological understanding in international business, applied economics and entrepreneurship.
The journal focuses on the interaction between firms, institutions and entrepreneurial systems, particularly in emerging and transitional economies, and how these dynamics shape global economic and organisational change.
JIBE examines how business and economic systems evolve under conditions of technological disruption, institutional reform, sustainability transitions and structural economic transformation.

Scholarly Contribution Requirements
Submissions must demonstrate at least one of the following:
- Theoretical advancement
- Empirical evidence development
- Methodological innovation
- Comparative or cross-country insight
Priority is given to research that contributes to understanding business and economic transformation in emerging and transitional economies.
Not Within Scope
The journal does not normally publish submissions that lack original scholarly contribution, including:
- Purely descriptive reports or overviews
- Consultancy or industry reports intended for practice rather than research
- Policy briefs or summaries without analytical or empirical grounding
- Managerial commentary that does not contribute to theoretical, methodological or empirical knowledge
