Submission Preparation Checklist

 

  • Authors must submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. The manuscript must also fall within the scope of the Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE).
  • Authors must prepare manuscripts in Microsoft Word format, use the official journal template and keep the manuscript within 15 pages including tables and figures. The manuscript should be written in clear academic English, carefully proofread for grammar and spelling and formatted according to the journal’s required structure and style.
  • The similarity index must not exceed 20% excluding references as verified by plagiarism detection software.
  • Authors must ensure that all references are accurate, properly cited in the text and formatted according to the journal’s referencing style.
  • Authors must provide complete and accurate disclosures of any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest and all sources of funding in both the manuscript and the submission process.
  • Submissions must also comply with the Journal’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy and follow COPE Core Practices (https://publicationethics.org/core-practices).
  • By submitting a manuscript to JIBE, authors confirm that they have followed the Guide for Authors and agree to comply with the journal's policies on Open Access, Copyright and License, Publication Ethics and Malpractice, Peer Review, Plagiarism, Retraction, Correction and Withdrawal, Conflict of Interest, Use of Generative AI and Archiving. These guidelines and policies are available on the journal website and form an integral part of the submission requirements.

Privacy Statement

The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) collects basic personal information (such as names, affiliations and email addresses) solely for submission, peer review, editorial processing and publication, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
All data are securely stored in the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and are accessible only to authorized editorial staff.
Personal data are not sold or used for marketing purposes; limited sharing with trusted service providers (such as hosting and plagiarism detection) is carried out under strict confidentiality arrangements.
Published author details and article metadata form part of the permanent scholarly record and may be publicly available; data processing may occur outside Malaysia with appropriate safeguards in place.
Requests for access, correction or deletion of personal data (excluding published records) may be submitted to the editorial office via the journal website.
