Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must comply with the following requirements:

 

  • The manuscript must be original, has not been previously published and is not under consideration by any other journal.
  • The submission file must be prepared in an acceptable format, namely OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or RTF.
  • The manuscript must be between 6 and 12 pages in length.
  • Authors are required to strictly follow the prescribed journal format, as outlined in the Guide for Authors and must use the official downloadable manuscript template (MS Word format).
  • The text must adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements specified in the Guide for Authors.
  • A plagiarism similarity report generated by Turnitin or equivalent software must be submitted. The similarity index must not exceed 20%.
  • The submission must fully comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy, including adherence to the principles and standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). COPE Core Practices: https://publicationethics.org/core-practices

Privacy Statement

The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) is committed to protecting your information and ensuring it is handled with care and transparency and in compliance with privacy regulations.

We store all information securely on our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, with access limited to authorized editorial and administrative staff. We do not share, sell or rent information to third parties for marketing purposes.

When we work with trusted service providers such as OJS hosting, plagiarism detection tools or indexing databases (DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science), we share only what is necessary and require them to follow strict confidentiality and data protection standards. Metadata from published articles, including author names and affiliations, is shared to ensure broad discoverability.

Some data may be processed or stored outside Malaysia. In such cases, safeguards are in place to protect it. We retain information only for as long as necessary to serve its intended purpose, comply with legal requirements, and maintain the scholarly record. Author names and affiliations in published articles are preserved permanently.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (excluding published academic records). You also have the right to object to certain types of processing or withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
