Revenue and Funding

The Journal of International Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship (JIBE) operates as a non-profit, institutionally funded open-access journal. Financial support is fully provided by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), through UiTM Press and the Faculty of Business and Management. The journal’s operations are further sustained by the volunteer contributions of academic staff, who dedicate their time and expertise to editorial management and peer-review activities.

JIBE does not derive revenue from advertising, subscriptions, article reprints or author fees. All editorial and publishing decisions are made entirely independently and are free from financial or commercial influence, ensuring that scholarly integrity and academic quality remain paramount.

This funding and operational model demonstrates JIBE’s commitment to:

  • Academic independence and integrity, with editorial decisions guided solely by scholarly merit.
  • Open-access dissemination, ensuring all research is freely available to readers worldwide without cost.
  • Sustainable, ethical publishing, supported by institutional resources and volunteer expertise rather than commercial revenue streams.

By maintaining this model, JIBE promotes equitable access to knowledge, transparency in operations and the advancement of high-quality research in international business, economics and entrepreneurship.
